Sub: Pay Raise Request

Dear Mr. Matthews,

I’d like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to work as a Sales Associate for (Company Name). In addition, you have been a wonderful mentor to me. I started working for (Company Name) two years ago. Since then, I have successfully managed over eight locations for the company over the last two years. My responsibilities have grown significantly since the company asked me to oversee four additional locations.

I not only outperformed all of my colleagues on a consistent basis, but I did so with exceptional passion and pride.

Also, as you know, my salary has remained the same since I was hired in Feb 2019. I am overdue for my yearly appraisals. As a result, I respectfully request a revision of my salary.

I believe that my increased responsibilities and performance over the last two years merit a pay increase.

I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss a salary increase. I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,

John Doe
